Luis Carlos Sainz (Guadalajara, 1968) estudio derecho en la Universidad de Guadalajara y es reportero desde 1989, cuando inicio en XEW Guadalajara. Ha cubierto diferentes fuentes, pero le apasiona la cobertura informativa y la investigacion de juzgados y prisiones. En 1995, cuando laboraba para la emisora AAA Radio fue rehen durante los motines registrados en el penal de Puente Grande. Ha sido conductor y jefe de asignaciones en TV Azteca Guadalajara y ha colaborado para Associated Press, Grupo Acir y el desaparecido diario Ocho Columnas. Desde 2001 es corresponsal del semanario ZETA de Tijuana.
