Jason Stein and Patrick Marley both cover the Capitol for Wisconsin's largest newspaper, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Stein previously covered politics and business for the Wisconsin State Journal and has received national recognition for his reporting. He is a past president of the Wisconsin Capitol Correspondents Association. Marley previously covered local government for the Kenosha News. His work has been recognized by the Wisconsin Freedom of Information Council and the Wisconsin Newspaper Association.

Pulls the story together

It was interesting to hear the different perspectives and details that were lost in real time. Looking back it really was quite a story and probably an enjoyable read for anybody no matter which side of the issues they were on. The writing is great and even knowing the outcome, it still reads like a "page turner" novel.

Great Resource

Full disclosure- I read this book so I could do a research paper on collective bargaining for grad school. That being said, this book was a great resource. It was entertaining and informative.
Since I was out of the country when the protests occurred in Wisconsin; it was great to read, in detail, how everything went down- from Walker taking office to the aftermath of the passing of Act 10.

Fascinating!

I couldn't put it down. The authors did a wonderful job of telling this complicated story chronologically and without bias. Gives the reader an inside look at how government sometimes works.
